Spend the night in the millSpending the night in one of our comfortable and stylishly decorated suites on the grain and grinding floors of the windmill is a unique experience. The second floor of the mill was originally the grain floor, which was used for the storage of grain and flour. The third floor of the mill is the grinding floor where the flour, which came from the stone floor above, was assembled.

Grain and grinding floors

Both floors are arranged as comfortable and spacious apartments, each with their
individual atmosphere. The apartments have a living and a sleeping area as well as a
bathroom and kitchenette and are suitable for a maximum of 4 people.

The living rooms offer a view of the 'Boterdiep' canal in front of the mill. A magnificent 360 view of the surrounding landscape can be experienced from the platform of the mill, which is accessible from the fourth floor.

Rates per night

Our rates are listed in the table below. All prices are per apartment per night and include breakfast. So for example, the total cost for a room for 2 nights for 2 persons is 220,- (2 x 110). If you would like to stay longer than 3 nights, then please contact us for our special rates.

Weekend arrangements

For your convenience we've prepared a number of weekend arrangements. If you opt for the 'Freshen-up' weekend, you can explore the surroundings of Onderdendam by bike or on foot. The 'Cultural' weekend includes a visit to a number of museums and exhibitions in the surroundings of Onderdendam as well as a walking tour through the city of Groningen. The 'Active' weekend includes canoe and bike rental and if you prefer to combine shopping, dining and island hopping then the 'City to coast' weekend is perfect for you. It's also possible to combine elements of different weekends. Please, feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
